Watching Silas grow has been such a gift this year. He has developed quite the personality and voice! More than anything, he loves his big sister and she loves him. Their bond is truly something special and watching them play brings us so much joy. Silas loves to swing, ride his scoot bike (or anything with wheels), kick balls, run, and all animals. He started walking at 11 months old and running shortly thereafter. In addition to the usual milestones, Silas started Montessori school this year, where he is affectionately known as "Si Si" (Sigh Sigh). Lately, "the boy", as we call him, never stops moving or snacking! He looks forward to starting more organized activities and becoming a big brother next year!

2025 was a big year for Ardyn! She learned to ride her bike without training wheels, got her ears pierced, participated in lots and lots of art camps, and started Kindergarten! She still enjoys weekly swim lessons and gymnastics classes and started Theatre classes through school. She played (read suffered through) Soccer again this year and is currently taking Jazz classes, working toward her winter showcase. Ardyn's passion for art and drawing continues to grow, and so does our collection of "Ardyn Originals". This year, she wants to be a scientist and a mommy when she grows up (you go, girl!).
She continues to love all things art!

Sydney is still enjoying working fully remote in her role as a Digital Marketing Specialist and Media Coordinator, but is looking forward to taking some time off to bond with baby in the next few months. She was able to take quite a few solo trips this year: To Minnesota in February for her Grandma Margie's funeral, to Minneapolis for work in March, to Newport Beach for a bachelorette party in July, and to San Diego for a girl's trip in November. The highlight of her year, though, was definitely the babymoon that she and Luke were able to take to Europe in October! This pregnancy, in between binge eating pasta and running the kids to and from activities, she has been going on weekly walks with neighbors and enjoying her monthly book club, which turns 3 this year!
2025 was the year of come backs for Luke! For those who remember, Luke experienced stress fractures in both hips in 2023 after training and running in a half marathon. This year, he returned to run in the same half in April, and finished (beating his previous record) with no injuries!! Luke has leaned into the hobbies this year, taking up Golf, learning the guitar, going to concerts, running and exercising as much as possible, cooking, and making time for video games (per usual). He was also able to take a solo trip to San Diego for a bachelor party in October. When he isn't trying a new culinary experiment, Luke is the kids' favorite jungle gym and fully embraces daddy playtime. Though he still claims our dog, Winnie, is his favorite child ;).
We flew to San Francisco in April to attend our the wedding of our dear friends in Sausalito. Since the wedding was the day before Ardyn's birthday, we decided to extend the trip for a little family getaway. We had so much fun exploring old stomping grounds (Sydney lived in the Bay Area after college), hiking around Muir Woods, taking the ferry into SF and celebrating Ardyn with a full day at Pier 39!

You know Sydney will never miss an opportunity for a passport stamp! When Luke had a bachelor party in Bellingham, WA this spring, we were able to sneak in a family vacation before! We flew to Seattle, rented a car (A convertible Mustang with two kids in carseats maybe wasn't the best choice, but oh the memories 😅) , and took the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria and spent 5 days exploring Vancouver Island. We went to Butchart Gardens, then made our way north to Pacific Rim National Forest for some hiking. Truly the most wonderful trip.
Snuggling on the flight to Seattle!

We were able to take a trip to San Diego at the end of June! Sydney and Luke (and Silas) took a road trip up to Ojai for a friend's wedding and Ardyn got to spend some time with her grandparents. It was so much fun seeing old friends, spending time with family, going to the beach and introducing Silas to everyone! Sydney and the kids stayed in town for 4th of July and even got to attend some Baseball games for the Boman Boys! It was really hard choosing pictures for this one, we're so lucky to have so many people we love in one place!

Our family flew to Montana in July for a (yet another) wedding and decided to turn this trip into an extended vacation, also! We stayed just outside the entrance to Glacier National Park in a cute little cabin and spent 3 days exploring the wonders of the park! We saw all the animals - Bears, Eagles, Mountain Goats, Big Horn Sheep - and loved hiking, chasing waterfalls and swimming in the lakes. We can't wait to go back! This was our last trip before Sydney went back to work and we sure made the most of it!
